The church of St John Lateran sits nestled in the grounds of Hengrave Hall and is available for you to hold a funeral or memorial service for your loved ones or if you prefer we can offer a wonderful location to host a memorable wake for your special loved one, particularly as Hengrave Hall is only two miles from Risby Crematorium. The church is available to hire separately or why not make it easier for you and let our experienced events team play host to your wake, with a fabulous choice of rooms, with sumptuous menus to choose from, Hengrave Hall will ensure its a smooth celebration from start to finish and will guide you through the planning as we know you have other worries and things to sort out at this difficult time.

Christmas Parties
Are you looking for the ‘WOW’ factor for your Christmas Party? Then you need look no further, with stunning spaces within the main hall to play host to a reception of fizz and canapés, you will then be led into the Long Gallery for a sumptuous meal (other options are of course available and can be tailored to suit your requirements) after we will then throw open the doors to our Banqueting Hall, complete with minstrels gallery for you to party the night away. Why not treat your guests to an overnight stay in one of our 21 bedrooms or at our sister property All Saints Resort.

Celebration of a new addition
Did you get married at Hengrave Hall? Are you looking for a stunning back drop to play host to celebrate your new arrival? With the historic church of St John Lateran sat next to the main house with its beautiful Saxon Tower complete with the font there is nowhere more perfect to christen your beautiful children. For those families whom would prefer a non-religious ceremony you are more than welcome to make use of any of the areas at Hengrave Hall, why not have a naming ceremony in our inner courtyard (if the weather allows- we of course will have a backup option just in case!).
Why not follow your ceremony with a glass of Pimms on the lawn and let the children enjoy the beautiful gardens (garden games are included in the venue hire).
Our christening collections are to include a four-hour interlude of the exclusive use of Hengrave Hall (St John Lateran is available to hire excluding the house just for the ceremony).

Time to party!
Are you looking to celebrate a big birthday? Special anniversary? Or just fancy getting a group of friends together, why not host a house party here at Hengrave Hall, arrive at 3pm (perhaps welcomed with Afternoon Tea and a spot of croquet on the lawn), let your guests enjoy the stunning grounds as they wander (or pop to our sister hotel for a few Spa treatments). Retire to our luxurious bedrooms, many in the main house complete with four poster beds and views spanning the grounds for your guests to freshen up ahead of an evening to remember. Fizz and canapés on arrival, before the most sumptuous cooked five course taster menu accompanied with wine – you are free to choose your location to hold your dinner and our experienced events team can of course advise you.

The privacy and exclusivity of this stunning Grade 1* Tudor Mansion means it offers a fantastic place for your business to hold the most confidential meetings, or offers the most amazing back drop for that all important car launch, fashion show or corporate celebration.
Whatever your requirements, our experienced events team are on hand to guide you through what areas and spaces would work best for your event ensuring we are there throughout the planning stages to the execution on the day. Always ensuring we take the pressure and think of everything so you can focus on the event itself and entertain clients or spend time with your colleagues.
If you are looking to hold a large event, with over 150 attendants, then the stunning West Terrace has on many occasions played host the most fabulous marquees, allowing the event to take place overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens and lawns with the mansion sitting in the background… there really is no place like it!

Intimate Weddings
Our bespoke intimate weddings cater for guests up to 30 people (minimum of 5 guests) with our stunning a la carte menu created by our in-house Chefs which can be tailored to your specific requirements (supplements may be payable).
Intimate Wedding packages are available Monday – Thursday (January- May, October- December).
Prices available on request – to include exclusive use of Hengrave Hall (2.00pm- 8.00pm) canapés on arrival and three-course menu. Excludes all alcohol and accommodation.

I wanted to write to thank you for the kind use of Hengrave Hall once again for the Annual CLAAS Awards dinner last April.
As always, our Team loved the change of scenery and for many it was the first time they had visited the Hall, even for many of the locals. The weather was perfect, and the food, service staff and entertainment were first class.
It’s really appreciated, so thank you once again.
